This is the painting using the reversed oil on glass method. It means pretty much that the painting is painted on the other side of glass from one that is viewing. To me that is one of the hardest methods of painting, since not only image that one paints is in reverse (mirror image to desired outcome) but also the approach of the painting is done in reverse (details first then all other layers) The painting changes slightly based on light and surrounding colours on wall due to glass and light reflecting and refracting.
The painting is of my favourite landscape in my hometown Makarska for which I am homesick more than anything. Painting is filled with small intricate detail and took over 120h of work to complete. The boat on painting is named Vruja, it is sailing boat, made of wood.
Painting is not framed.
